The problem
Two businesses in one store. A subscription has to be understood and trusted within seconds, while a retail catalogue is there to be browsed, and each one can easily bury the other. Regulated retail adds a third constraint: age gating and platform rules decide what the storefront is allowed to say and show, and getting it wrong costs the payment account.
What we built
- The subscription built as the hero offer: what is in the box, its value against the price, and cancel-anytime stated up front rather than in the terms
- Retail catalogue and an in-house apparel line alongside it, browsable without pulling people out of the subscription funnel
- Rewards programme, giveaways and an order tracker, so repeat purchase is the default rather than a campaign
- A content section (Plug Magazine) giving the store something to rank for beyond product pages
- Age gating and compliance-aware copy throughout, because in this category the storefront's wording keeps payment and ad accounts alive
The result
- One storefront serving recurring subscribers and one-time buyers
- Compliance handled as a design constraint rather than a takedown risk
- Content and rewards giving customers a reason to come back between purchases
